We are working to develop the public protocols to accept and catalog samples that are taken from everyday places.  We want you to look at every leaf, dirt clump, dead insect and water puddle as a source of excitement and wonder.  You may have stepped over the cure to hunger, disease or industrial production without ever noticing.  While these microbes quietly munch away and thrive we can finally begin to understand how they impact us in extraordinary ways.  

Your favorite pond could be hiding the key to mitigating methane from cows, breaking down forever chemicals and making wells functional again.

Your lawn could be the habitat of a microbe that fights fungus in crops without the necessity of harsh chemistry.
